BIRTV 2009: DVS presents REDTM workflows in real time
DVS demonstrates cutting-edge post production workflows with CLIPSTER® at BIRTV 2009. The DI workstation supports real-time processing of REDTM material as well as stereoscopic 3D DCI Mastering.

Hanover/Beijing. At BIRTV, DVS presents its flagship product CLIPSTER®, allowing for an extended range of applications in post production, film and broadcast markets. Visitors to booth 8b10 will experience real time REDTM workflows as well as stereoscopic 3D DCI Mastering.
DVS’s revolutionary real-time REDTM workflow allows for decoding and debayering of RED RAW files in full quality at 4K 12 bit RGB mode. R3DTM data can be directly displayed, edited in the timeline and played out in parallel in 4K. For NLE systems all REDCODE™ RAW files can be converted into Avid DNxHD® in high speed.
CLIPSTER’s conforming tool manages high-resolution REDTM content via an offline EDL, ALE, FCP XML or cutlist. REDTM metadata are completely integrated in the conforming process. A split screen can be used to compare 4K RAW 12 bit material with the offline proxies.
In addition, DCI Mastering for 3D projects will be showcased at BIRTV. CLIPSTER® converts stereoscopic film data to Digital Cinema Packages (DCP) in real time. All the steps for stereoscopic DCI Mastering, including encoding and MXF wrapping, can be performed quickly and easily via the CLIPSTER® DCI Mastering Wizard.
Users can easily conform stereoscopic material by dropping the EDL for left and right eye directly into the CLIPSTER® timeline. Both tracks can be merged together into one stereoscopic video track that can be edited as regular video material.
