Hanover/Amsterdam. From September 9 - 13, IBC visitors to booth 7.E25 will discover how they can increase the integrity and stability of their workflows further still by using DVS storage systems. Both the SpycerBox and the DVS-SAN are highly flexible and integrate seamlessly into any storage environment. The SpycerBox will impress users with its incredible capabilities. Thanks to their versatility and performance, DVS storage solutions are perfect for the post production market and – due to their outstanding IOPS rates – particularly for the broadcast arena.

The central SpycerBox media hub – available in the versions SpycerBox Flex and SpycerBox Ultra – integrates into any storage environment thanks to its countless optional interfaces. Right on time for IBC, SpycerBox Flex will impress users with its incredible performance that offers real-time support of five uncompressed 2K video streams in parallel. With a storage capacity of 43.2 TB, the compact "SAN in a box" offers all the functionality of a professional storage system which is also easy to administer thanks to a Single Point of Management. The SpycerBox Ultra increases its capacity to 72 TB and is perfect for use as a high-performance nearline storage solution. The special feature of the SpycerBox family lies in the fact that it can be integrated as a NAS or SAN configuration – or as a combination of the two – into existing storage architectures, providing users with a high-performance end-to-end solution that forms the core of their infrastructure. The SSD option for metadata storage significantly accelerates file-system operations on the SpycerBox.

The DVS-SAN has established itself as an outstanding and robust storage solution thanks to its customizable configuration and high bit-rates. Its open structure allows all connected clients to access film and video data directly on the DVS-SAN.

The latest version 2.2 of DVS’s content management software Spycer® also offers users countless new functions. For instance, users can individually configure the transfer speed to SAN and NAS systems. Furthermore, Spycer® analyzes the consistency of the copied files and automatically repairs corrupt data. It also features the "read while record" function for different MXF formats.

Henner Steinwede, DVS Product Manager: "Thanks to their openness and high bit-rates, DVS storage systems are the perfect platform when it comes to cost-effectively creating a storage architecture. Both our broadcast and post production users benefit from an unparalleled performance of our systems."
